About SeekFlaw
In short
SeekFlaw is an AI study tool: it turns slides and notes into a mind map, every node flips into a flashcard, and reviews are scheduled with the FSRS spaced-repetition algorithm.
SeekFlaw (求瑕) is an AI learning tool for students and exam-takers (mind map + flashcards + spaced review). It is not a network-security, vulnerability-scanning or code-audit tool.
What it does
- Material to map: upload a PDF, PowerPoint, Word file, image, web link or recording, and AI reads it and builds a mind map with notes; nodes trace back to the source text
- Every node is a card: the front is the point to learn, the back is the explanation, and flipping a node gives you a flashcard
- Spaced review: FSRS, SM-2 or Ebbinghaus scheduling, with a memory heat map showing which parts are fading
- Self-testing: quizzes, recall write-ups, Feynman explanations, a mistake book with worked explanations, and test paper generation
- Partial printing: select a node or a few areas in your own map and print them on A4 with automatic page splitting, through the browser or as a PDF
- Topic to map: when signed in, write a study topic; it searches for related materials first, then organizes them by chapter into one map
- Photo a problem: take a photo of a problem and it is grouped into the problem, solution steps, answer and common mistakes, one small tree per problem
- Find prerequisites: when you cannot grasp a node, it lists what to learn first, and you can merge that into the map after confirming
- Voice to map: speak while it transcribes, and AI organizes the text into nodes; the recording is not kept
How to turn slides into a map you can memorise
You do not make cards by hand. These are the steps from material to review.
- Add your material:Open the home page and upload a PDF, Word file or image, or paste some text or a web link.
- Read the map:AI grows a mind map with notes as it reads, and you can edit it directly when it is done.
- Flip and memorise:Every node flips into a card. In Memorise you go one card per screen and grade yourself Forgot, Fuzzy or Got it. Saving progress needs an account.
- Review on schedule:The next review is scheduled along the forgetting curve. A study plan sets how many new cards a day, and it can count down to your exam date.
- Find the gaps:Use quizzes, recall write-ups, Feynman explanations and the mistake book to find what you have not mastered, then go back to the map.
Who it is for
Students and people preparing for exams, mainly in China: final exams, CET-4 and CET-6, the postgraduate entrance exam, the teacher qualification exam and civil service exams.

Recently released
As of 2026-11-06, everything below is live and switched on, newest first. The full changelog is on the Chinese changelog page.
- 2026-11-04: Search first. When signed in, type a study topic on the generator. It searches for related materials first and organizes them by chapter into one map, and some key nodes carry a source clip you can replay. If nothing suitable is found, it uses the AI’s own knowledge instead and says so in the process view.
- 2026-11-03: First-use tour. New accounts see a “First time here?” card the first time they open the home page or a space. “Show me around” walks through step by step, and “Look around myself” lets you tap the dots on the page to read about each area. You can leave any time, and come back later through “Tour this page” or “Tour this space”.
- 2026-11-03: Concept popups. Tapping a concept link in a map, card, notes or an AI answer now opens the problem tree in a popup instead of a full page. You can see the answer, “Also used here” and the questions below, open other concepts and go back. Close it with ×, Esc or the backdrop.
- 2026-11-03: Learn this. In a node’s details in Find prerequisites, “Learn this” has AI explain the concept in a few sentences with one example, then gives a self-check and where it is used, in about 10 seconds. It only shows in the panel and is not written to your map.
- 2026-11-03: Go deeper. A node’s details in Find prerequisites now have “Go deeper” (Beta): an explanation, pictures and videos, with check questions only when you ask. If the topic is already in your map, you can use “Put after this node”. If not, you can only read and pick material.
- 2026-11-02: Merge into my map. “Merge into my map” shows a preview first, and you can untick new nodes line by line. After you confirm, new nodes go under “Prerequisites (AI)” below the target node, and nodes already in your map are not created or changed. You can undo the merge, but after a page refresh you have to delete the nodes by hand.
- 2026-11-01: Mini map preview. Find prerequisites shows what you need to know before a node in a mini map. The root is the current node, marked “You are here”, and what to learn first branches to the right. It has 3 levels by default, including the current node, adjustable from 2 to 5. It is only a preview and does not change your map.
- 2026-11-01: Move nodes to another map. Selected nodes, together with their children, can be moved as a group to a chosen spot in another map, or into a new map, and the move can be undone.
- 2026-11-01: Photo of a quiz page to cards. Photograph a page with numbered questions and every question becomes a node in your map: stem and options on the front, answer and explanation on the back, ready to study.
- 2026-11-01: Merge a capture into an existing map. You no longer have to hunt for the right map after a capture: the content is compared with your existing maps, a few are suggested, and you confirm where it goes or keep it as a new map.
- 2026-10-31: Go deeper. After flipping a card, tap "Go deeper" (Beta). You get a one-line takeaway, an analogy and common mistakes, then pictures, a video and a self-check, and you can ask follow-ups. Tick what you want to keep and put it after this node; you can undo it.
- 2026-10-29: Merge maps. "Merge maps" combines 2 to 10 of your own maps into a new map. "Smart merge" treats the first map as the main one, turns the same topics into one node and hangs the rest under matching branches. "Simple stack" keeps each map as a top-level branch. You preview first, and your original maps stay as they are.
- 2026-10-29: Live Space. Live Space merges photos, voice, files, pasted text and links into one map. It finds a spot and mounts the new content, only adds nodes, leaves your existing content alone, and every batch can be undone. Come back within 30 minutes and you continue in the same space.
- 2026-10-28: Voice capture. The phone home page now has a recording entry. Your speech turns into text live, and once there is enough it is organised into nodes and merged into the map, without waiting for the end. Audio is not saved: it is only used for recognition, then discarded.
- 2026-10-28: Free plan limits. Free accounts registered after this rule started on October 28 get 5 AI map generations or document imports a day in total, 20 AI chats a day, 200 nodes per map, 3 map spaces, and 3 monthly trials of photo to cards and voice to map. Reviewing cards and building maps and cards by hand have no usage count. Accounts registered earlier are not affected.
- 2026-10-27: Photo capture. The camera button on the phone home page takes a photo of a textbook page, or picks several from your album. Each photo is read in turn and organised into nodes in a Live Space map, and every node flips into a card.
- 2026-10-27: Locate drawer. Cards on phones now have "Locate": tap it and a half-screen map slides up to show where the card sits. From the drawer you can study that branch or open the full map. You will find it in home search results, at the top of a review session, and under "Cards that did not stick" on the finish page.
- 2026-10-27: Phone home bar. The phone home page now has a bottom bar: "Study" with the number of cards due today on the left, "Search cards · Ask your library" in the middle, and the microphone and camera on the right. Starting a review, searching, taking a photo and recording all happen from this bar.
- 2026-10-27: Studio Lab. Studio now has a "Lab" group. "Recall on the map" covers the whole map and you tap to recall. "Memory terrain" lays your memory state over the map. "Exam campaign" works back from exam day. "Feature forge" builds a study mode from vetted blocks. "In-app agent" looks things up and helps you do them.
- 2026-10-27: Quick access. Signed in, tap the home search box and "Quick access" opens: "Due today", "Ask everything", "Full-text search", "Study plans" and "All spaces", with recent maps and recent searches below. After searching, pick a card with the arrow keys and press Enter to locate it, and "Next step" appears below.
- 2026-10-26: Big files and scans. Signed-in users can now upload larger PDFs on the generator: 300MB on a computer and 120MB on a phone, against 40MB when not signed in. Scanned PDFs are read page by page before the map is generated, up to 100 pages per file and 120 pages per round.
- 2026-10-22: Quiz a classmate. On maps saved from an official map, the summary after a full round now has "Quiz a classmate": it turns 3 to 5 cards you rated today into a link. Your classmate opens it and answers without signing in, and the result shows how many each of you got right.

- An AI study tool for students and exam-takers. It turns slides and lecture notes into a mind map with notes, every node flips into a flashcard, and reviews are scheduled along the forgetting curve.
- Is SeekFlaw a security tool?
- No. SeekFlaw (求瑕) is a study tool. It has nothing to do with network security, vulnerability scanning or code auditing.
- What does the name mean?
- SeekFlaw is the English name and 求瑕 is the Chinese name of the same product. Both mean looking for the flaws, here the gaps in what you know.
- Which platforms does it run on?
- It is a web app at www.seekflaw.com. It runs in the browser on computers, phones and tablets, and inside WeChat. There is nothing to install.
- Is it in English?
- The interface has Chinese and English versions. Official maps and most published study content are in Chinese, because the product mainly serves Chinese exams such as the postgraduate entrance exam, CET-4 and CET-6, the teacher qualification exam and civil service exams.
- Does it cost anything?
- There is a free plan and a membership. You can generate 3 times without signing in. Signing in is free, and the free plan includes 5 AI map generations or document imports a day in total, 20 AI chats a day, 200 nodes per map and 3 map spaces; reviewing cards and building maps and cards by hand are unlimited. Member limits and prices are shown under Profile, Membership comparison.
- Which spaced repetition algorithm does it use?
- New study plans use FSRS by default. FSRS is an open-source algorithm that estimates from your grades how well you still remember a card, and brings the card back when you are about to forget it.
- What can I do on a phone?
- Open the web app in your phone browser or in WeChat; there is nothing to install. When signed in, the home bar has Study, card search and ask-all-cards, a camera and a microphone: snap a textbook page or a problem, or record a lecture, and the content is organized into nodes and merged into your map. Studying shows one card per screen, you swipe left or right to move to the next or previous card, and you rate with the buttons at the bottom; tap Locate to see where a card sits in the map. In a space, selecting a node brings up a bar with Study this branch and more, and Studio is under More features in the top ⋯ menu. We have not yet verified every behaviour on real iOS Safari or the WeChat in-app browser.
- Who operates SeekFlaw?
- It is operated by 上海其节智能科技有限公司.
- How many times a day can I generate from a topic?
- 5 times a day on a free account and 30 for members, by Beijing time. A run that finds nothing suitable and falls back to the AI’s own knowledge does not count.
- What do I get from a photo of a problem?
- An image node that always splits into “Problem”, “Solution steps”, “Answer”, and “Pitfalls & extensions”, with one small tree per problem. Solutions are written by AI, so please check the answer yourself.
- Can the generator answer questions?
- No. A question is used as a topic, or the related knowledge is added to the map. To ask, use “AI chat” in Studio inside a space.
- Does Find prerequisites change my map?
- No. The mini map is only a preview and writes nothing. To add it to your map you tap “Merge into my map” and confirm.
- How is this different from the usual photo to cards?
- The usual flow treats a page as study material and extracts key points. A question page keeps the numbers, stems and options, one node per question, with the answer and explanation on the back.
- How many times a day can I use Go deeper?
- Text content (explanations, supporting material, follow-ups) is limited to 30 a day per person, and failures do not count. Video searches are limited to 20 a day per person. Limits reset the next day.
- Do my original maps stay?
- Yes. Merging creates a new map and the originals stay as they are. Reviewing in the merged map does not update their progress.
- Is my recording saved?
- No. Audio is only used for recognition and then discarded. The transcript is sent to AI to organise into nodes.
- What are the free plan limits?
- 5 AI map generations or document imports a day in total, 20 AI chats a day, 200 nodes per map, 3 map spaces, and 3 monthly trials of photo to cards and voice to map. Reviewing cards and building maps and cards by hand have no usage count.
- How large can a PDF be?
- On the generator: 300MB on a computer and 120MB on a phone when signed in, 40MB when not. Word, PPT and spreadsheet files, and anything imported in Live Space, are limited to 50MB.
